Girls night; Bingo!

What a fun evening I had this evening! Myself, my mom and my sister went to Longaberger Basket Bingo. The bank I work at is partners in education with a local middle school and they were doing a fundraiser for their football team. I have only gone to Bingo once and I never won a game out of twenty boards. Actually, I never win anything. I am the single most unlucky person you will ever meet. I always give money for this and that charity for a chance to win this or that prize and I have come to the point where I don't even get excited at the possibility of winning a prize. Thats how often it never happens. I can laugh at it, shrug my shoulders and just feel good about the fact I donated to a good cause.

My sister & I <3

But tonight was our lucky night. My mom bingo'd and won a basket the fifth game. My sister won a doorprize. Then I Bingo'd on the twelfth game, but so did someone else. When that happened they would give you a number and draw. Whoevers number was drawn is who got the basket that round. I lost. Then the next game started and you will never guess what happened. I bingo'd in like six or seven number calls! I couldnt believe it, I had just been thinking I would never bingo another game let alone the very next game! And I was the only one who bingo'd that round, so I got a basket! And if you thought that was the end of our lucky streak you are wrong because my mom won the very next game after me!

I won the lucky number thirteen basket!

So yes, we had a very fun evening. Even if we hadn't won and just been our usual unlucky selves we would have had fun. Its not very often us girls get to go out together so it was just nice getting to laugh and spend time together. And it was for a good cause! With my husband out on the railroad almost every weekend, its nice to get out do things. :)

What did you all do this weekend?

Polka Dot Nails

I love to do my nails and I love polka dots. And this was so easy. Just pick your base color, have a bobby pin handy and get started. Just dip the bobby pin into the polish and dot away. I like to do different sized dots randomly. Let dry, do a clear top coat and show them off! :)

Here are some nails designs from Pinterest that I thought were pretty neat..

Happy Easter!

'The Lord came to earth with a life to give, so each one of us may continue to live.'

'The loveliest day comes when you wake up one morning and discover the truth that love colors our world. How lovely to be loved by Jesus. Happy Easter!'

Went to the Friday service, sunrise service at 6am this morning and then to our normal 10:30 service. I have felt so blessed this weekend. We truly have an amazing church and a wonderful pastor. It got me thinking about when we first found our church, we were so thankful. (I blogged about it, here) Praise Jesus <3

Hope you all have had a blessed Easter!

High Five for Friday

Link up, here.

1. This week went by so fast. I couldn't keep up with what day it was all week. I think mostly because I've been so busy. I've had something to do after work almost every day this week. I like busy weeks, but with the nice weather we've been having I wish I would take more time to just sit back and enjoy the world around me.

2. I had orientation earlier this week for volunteering. I'll be volunteering on Wednesdays at one of the local hospitals in town. They require you to get a TB test. I know this doesn't make sense, but while I can stand to get a tattoo I cannot, however, get a shot without whimpering like a child. Even though I know the pain only lasts for a second, I get myself worked up each time. My mother in law, who is a nurse, gave me the TB test.  It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but I'm still not looking forward to the second round.

3. Had a date night with Ryan, my husband. We went and picked up some food and took it down by the river to eat and then did a little shopping at TJ Maxx. We both walked out of there with some clothes and I got another jewelry organizer in a smaller size. (Did you read this post?)

4. I had lunch with an old and good friend and we went shopping at Kohl's and found some cute tops and a few other random things. We actually went to school together and were really good friends when we were young and now we work together which is awesome. (Hi Kylie!)

5. My husband comes and has lunch with me during my work week whenever he can. I work downtown in walking distance to most everything. We usually go across the street to the Crystal Cafe where I'm on a first name basis with the owners and all of their children/employees. They even know as soon as I walk in what I want to drink and what my 'usual' is. I'm a creature of habit. Anyways, we decided to try something new today. Up a few blocks is a Latin cafe called Mango. I ordered something I cant even pronounce and was glad it wasn't gross. Even though it was good, its not a place I'll be going back to anytime soon. I'll stick with my good friends at the Crystal Cafe.

How was your week? What was your favorite thing about it? Let me know! :)
