Restored Frames

This was such a fun and easy project. I did it 2 years ago, so I don't have pictures of the process but it is very easy. I had 3 very old pictures frames, one was a light ugly salmon color and the two smaller ones were very worn out. Out of boredom one evening I decided to restore the old frames into frames worthy of holding our wedding pictures. <3

All you need is some clear coat, acrylic paint, a soft bristle paint brush, an old towel and your blow dryer.

I wiped all of the frames down and dried them. Then I painted on the black acrylic paint (you can use whichever color you like) in an even layer. I dried for roughly 10 minutes with my blow dryer, looked for any missed spots & then started with my first layer of clear coat. I dried again & added a second layer. After that I turned the fan on in the room and left them alone for about an hour. They look like completely different frames, I really wish I would have thought to take a before picture when I did it! Sorry the pictures above aren't the best, my good camera stopped working. :(

Have you done any easy restoring projects you'd like to share? I'd love to see your before and afters. :)

P.S. Did I mention I had NOTHING invested into this little project. The supplies were all things we already had. Sometimes the best kinds of projects are things you think to do and you don't have to wait until you get everything you need, you get to start right away!
